REA250 has submitted or partnered with another group to submit several grant applications in the past year. The Education and Outreach for Advanced Electric Drive Vehicles in Nevada grant is part of REA250's larger Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) initiative. The Reno-Sparks Indian Colony's Renewable Energy Training Center "Pathways Out of Poverty" grant addresses the development of a multi-state weatherization program for Native American tribal members to implement weatherization programs on tribal lands. REA250's application for the Solar America Cities grant details a comprehensive, nation-wide approach in creating a foundation for a viable solar market and provides a model for expansion to communities across the country. We also partnered with the State of Nevada Housing Division to submit a proposal for the federal Neighborhood Stabilization Program - Round 2 grants being awarded under the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act of 2009
